Cousin of Toru Kamikaze. He is a boy from Tenseijingo, a mahjong parlor in Yokohama, and is famous for his cool tile handling.
On behalf of his cousin in training, he continues to fight alone to protect the Earth from cheating!
Hiroshi Jingu is the protagonist of the 2nd anime in the Gambler Z series, Super Robot Great Gambler. He lives in a Mahjong parlor in Yokohama called Tenseijingo, He is the undefeated and the youngest professional Mahjong player in that area, and is famous for his cool manner of handling the Mahjong tiles.
He is the cousin of Toru Kamikaze, and both of them grew up together. Being the older, more mature relative, Hiroshi is treated by his cousin as his older brother whom he can depend on. Both him and Toru have a hatred towards their enemy Warudoc, more specifically the fact that he is a cheater.
One day, Toru, who pilots the super robot Gambler Z, faces off against the upgraded claw robots of Warudoc. Unfortunately, Gambler Z's strength is no match for the powered-up robots, and is getting defeated by them. Out of desperation, Toru calls for help from Hiroshi.
In order to help Toru, his father entrusted to Hiroshi a more powerful super robot that he had created, called Great Gambler. He also gave Hiroshi a special suit with heat resistance, pressure resistance, and soundproofing. With these, Hiroshi sets out to help his cousin.
Inside the Gamble Jet, Hiroshi enters the Great Gambler by shouting "Cross In!". With Great Gambler in his control, he rushes just in time to fight the robots that were defeating Gambler Z, and beats them up using Great Gambler's special moves such as "Fist of Justice" and "Great Ura-Dora Kick", before finishing them off with his special weapon, "Great Sword". The two Gambler pilots return back home after the fight.
Knowing that he is not skilled enough to fight Warudoc at this point, Toru undergoes further training while Gambler Z is being repaired.
In the meantime, it's up to Hiroshi Jingu alone to continue the fight against the evil Warudoc's army and rid the Earth of cheating.
During the training, Toru comes up with a new special move, but Gambler Z's performance could not keep up with it, so he decides to remodel it and give it a power upgrade. At the same time, Hiroshi also has his Great Gambler remodeled and powered-up. Now, with more abilities and being much more powerful than ever before, the two super robots can fight Warudoc's army together as a team!
Appearance[]
Hiroshi Jingu has messy light brown hair as well as light brown eyes. His attire consists of of a red suit worn with a blue vest, blacks briefs, and yellow gloves, boots, and a scarf. He is sometimes seen with a yellow helmet with a blue visor and a red "G" logo.
Hiroshi's 2P gives him paler skin and reddish eyes and hair. His vest is a slightly darker blue, and the rest of his outfit remains the same.
